Taoyuan City is the largest industrial city of technology in Taiwan and a smart city with the top one international ranking, which possesses the best environment for cultural and technological development.

In order to build a city of culture and technology, the Taoyuan City Government has launched the Taoyuan Art x Technology Festival (TAxT) since 2017, which brings together multiple objectives, namely, internationalization, localization, deepening cultivation in schools, and combination of industries.

Moreover, the Taoyuan Technology Performing Arts Awards launched in 2019 has aimed to uncover and nurture cross-disciplinary talent of technology performing arts.The 2022 TAxT is the only large-scale technology art festival organized by the local government in Taiwan. Over the years, it has become a vital platform of cross-disciplinary technology and art exchange with the industry sector.
